HOW TO CONVICT AN INNOCENT MAN.

The decision in 2010 by the Supreme Court in the case of Peter Cadder exposed the evil of Scottish police interviewing suspects without the benefit of a lawyer. This film examines the “star chamber” system, using the extensive files of one of Scotland’s most notorious cases of miscarriage of justice – that of George Beattie. Over the past 35 years, George Beattie has been cheated of justice by the authorities in many different ways. His is a perfect example of why the Cadder ruling is necessary and why the Scottish Court of Appeal is wrong to try to weaken the Supreme Court’s decision.
